How is reading taught in Key Stage 1 ?
Reading is taught with reference to Letters and Sounds but a range of practical and online resources are used to consolidate learning. A reading route of fiction and non-fiction texts forms the core of the programme although children read widely in many practical contexts. Discovery World and Oxford Reading Tree are central to this route.
