Ways We Conserve and Recycle

At Trimdon Grange School we encourage energy-saving and recycling.

  • collecting used batteries for recycling; for more information see the link below

  • making our own compost for the school vegetable patches; we are receiving advice from Mary at the Trimdon Community Garden - Thanks, Mary ! For more information about this group see below.

  • collecting unwanted clothing and soft furnishing with the PTFA for the Bags to School initiative

Our school councillors will be helping to sort our refuse to separate items which can be recycled for the big blue bin outside.

Our school is enrolled with The House of Objects in Newcastle Upon Tyne where we can collect junk items for children to use in model making.
